On the International Women’s day a new learning and self-discovery journey began for 16 Egyptian women who were in desperate search for happiness and purpose. To realize their vision in life, the 16 women signed up for the 3-months Springboard Women Development Program organized by Sting for Consultancy and Design in coordination with the British Council in Egypt.

The program was on eye-opener for the women; providing them with a new perspective on their own lives and their potential for growth. Two month after the program was concluded, participants gathered for a self-organized follow up meeting hosted by one of them. During the follow up they reported that the program enabled them to build new relations and friendships, form a support group for one another that helps them stay on track. They also added that they now have clear prospects of their values, improved self-image, stronger abilities to practice assertiveness, and clearer visions and objectives.

On the professional level, a few have taken bold steps in their careers. Another participant, Soad Hosny, stated with agony

Soad Hosny added with a hilarious laugh:

Soad Hosny is now leading performances at a famous cultural center in Cairo, signed up for a professional acting course, and running auditions to start an acting career; a lifelong dream she had since she was at the age of seven.

The group have decided not to end this learning journey and as a result, they have formed coaching partnerships that will continue. The group will continue to independently organize periodic meetings during which they will continue to inspire one another, keep eachother on track towards their visions, and support one another with their growing edges. As they know one another well by now, they are also reminding one another of the necessity of ‘Me Time’ and sharing information about events and happenings in the best of interest of each one of them.
Such impact leaves us speechless, simply proud and inspired!
