On Friday the 9th of November, Ahmed Fathy an English teacher held an event at Sting called "English Circle", meant to improve the participants' conversation skills in Shakespeare's language. The event gathered 20 persons, with beginners and fluent-speakers.

They enjoyed the ice-breakers and other games to facilitate expression : riddles and tongue-twisters lightened the mood and allowed everyone to enjoy playing with the English sounds.
The participants found a space and time to discuss about their daily life, where they come from, what they enjoy the most. Because Ahmed insisted on that, "you can only learn English if you adopt the language as a lifestyle".
After that, the participants took part in different games and activities, such as role playing games, acting, speaking cards, and eventually ended up debating about logical thinking and the expression of emotions. To conclude the event and make everyone apply what they had leant, Ahmed made everyone sing the song Friends, by Marshmellow and Anne-Marie.
We were thrilled to host this kind of event, and it will for sure happen again so stay tuned if you are interested to join us !
